Acceptable Use Policy
What you may not do with Sentinel Shield, and what happens if these rules are broken.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may not do when using Sentinel Shield. It supplements our Terms of Service. "You" means any user accessing the Service on behalf of a customer organisation.
1. Prohibited uses
You must not, and must not allow anyone acting on your behalf to:
- Use the Service to store, process, or distribute unlawful data or content, or anything that violates applicable law.
- Upload or transmit content that infringes the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure, or attempt to breach any security or authentication measures.
- Launch or facilitate any attack against the Service, including denial-of-service attempts, injection attacks, or malware deployment.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying source, structure, or data of the Service (other than your own Customer Data).
- Attempt to access, view, or modify data belonging to another customer or tenant, or circumvent the platform's access controls or tenant isolation.
- Use the Service to store, host, or distribute malicious code, including malware, ransomware, or exploits.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or use it in a way that could damage or impair its availability or performance for others.
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the activity of users you invite to your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised use of your account.
3. Consequences of violation
If we believe you have breached this policy, we may take action that is reasonable and proportionate. This can include suspending or restricting access to the Service, or terminating your account entirely. Where a violation may be unlawful, we may also report it to the relevant authorities. We will, where practical, notify the account administrator before or shortly after taking enforcement action, except where doing so would compromise an investigation or the security of the Service.
4. Reporting violations
If you become aware of a violation or a security concern, please report it to sentinelshield-help@mail.uk. See also our Vulnerability Disclosure guidance.
5. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
