Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sentinel Shield. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.

Last updated: 20 July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between your organisation ("Customer", "you") and Sentinel Shield ("we", "us") governing access to and use of the Sentinel Shield platform and any related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be authorised to bind your organisation to these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials, for all activity under your account, and for ensuring that each user within your organisation holds appropriate permissions. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorised access or security breach affecting your account.

3. The Service

Sentinel Shield is a compliance management platform that helps organisations monitor AI systems, track regulatory frameworks (including the EU AI Act and GDPR), manage records of processing activities, log incidents, and generate compliance reports. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time and will provide reasonable notice of material changes.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

The Service is offered under the subscription tiers published on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the agreed billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further charges apply. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our fees on reasonable notice; any change applies only to subsequent renewal periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) upload data you do not have the right to process or store; (c) attempt to access, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service; (d) introduce malware or harmful code; or (e) use the Service in a way that could damage or impair its availability. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these conditions have been breached.

6. Customer Data

You retain all rights in the data you submit to the Service ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited licence to process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Customer Data and for ensuring it does not contain information requiring special handling without appropriate safeguards.

7. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, branding, documentation, and underlying technology. These Terms grant no rights except as expressly stated. Feedback you provide about the Service may be used by us without restriction.

8. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's confidential information confidential and use it only to exercise rights under these Terms. This obligation survives termination and does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no breach, was independently developed, or is required to be disclosed by law.

9. Warranties & Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Service is a tool to support compliance management and does not constitute legal advice; you remain responsible for your own regulatory compliance decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party shall be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for non-payment. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases; you may export your Customer Data before termination, after which we may delete it in accordance with our retention schedule.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be directed to our team via the contact details available within the Service. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
